WELCOME, Saints!
We are excited to partner with you as you transition into or are continuing your higher education journey! To help with your transition, we have planned an engaging and informative summer orientation for you and your guests.
Limestone offers Day Campus Orientation during the summer (June and July) for students starting in the fall, and in January for students starting in the spring. Orientation is a one-day event to help new students and their families check off their to-do list before starting class.
During orientation days, students will have the opportunity to meet with and hear from various members of Limestone staff about resources, meet both current and other new students, discuss class schedules with the Office of First Year Experience, and sit down one-on-one with representatives from financial aid and the business office.

What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Go to your professor’s office hours if you are having trouble in class. Even just to ask a question, the professors are willing to help you just have to reach out.

What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Be open to meeting and talking to new people.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? The simultaneously accord of student-athletes staying focused on Academics as well as Athletics. Everyone seems to be on the same page while still enjoying a culture that is progressively knitting together.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Do at least one thing every day will inevitably help your future. Rather it’s an assignment, studying a playbook, or even introducing yourself to someone. Be intentional.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? My favorite thing about Limestone is the beauty and charm of the campus. ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½ has such a rich history and that is reflected in the buildings on campus. Walking through the center of campus is so calming and serene that you cannot help but smile and feel blessed that you get to go to such a beautiful school.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Start organizing your email now. You will get so many emails every day once the semester starts, so having folders set up where you can organize your emails and get them out of your inbox is so helpful.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? I love the size of it and how close you can be some with the many people you meet such as success coaches or teachers or friends.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? One helpful tip is to never procrastinate on your work and always put yourself out there to make friends. Also don’t change to fit the norm or succumb to peer pressure.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? The staff. Everybody that I have met here wants to see you succeed, and if you do your best and ask for help, I promise you that there will be people willing and able to help you out. Outside of academics, the staff in the dining hall is the best, and you will look forward to seeing them every day.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Get good at time management. If you get assigned homework that is due at the end of the week, I suggest trying to knock it out in the first three days of the week. That allows you to enjoy the rest of your week without stress, and it also clears out your weekends for activities or your sports schedule.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? The people! Limestone gave me a home away from home. The friendships I have built with the people here are so special to me and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Asking for help is not a burden on anyone! Limestone offers so many helpful services ranging from academic to emotional support. Need a tutor? We have one. Need help writing a paper? We have that also. Maybe, you just need someone to talk to. We have faculty and students here that would love to talk!

What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Try to make many friends and go to events like sports or anything the school is hosting.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? Limestone has been my second home for the past two years. The reason I can call this place my home is due to the physical and mental support coming from Limestone success coaches, advisors, coaches, and friends. The family atmosphere at Limestone is one that you cannot find anywhere else and that is what I love and appreciate most!
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Work hard but also play hard. Having good mental health is the key to success in the classroom and practice.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? What I love most about Limestone is the family atmosphere that all of the staff creates. You’re not just a number here, they know you by your name, your sport, or even who your mama and daddy are.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? Remember that everyone here is in the same place as you or has been where you are. No one comes to college with friends, no one comes to college with knowledge of how to navigate living away from home, doing their own laundry, all while making themselves go to class. Ask those questions, share your social media, and mingle with others. Everyone’s looking for a lifelong friend and a support system for what’s ahead.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? I love that being on campus feels like home. Limestone is just one big family and everyone here cares about each other. I love that it is a big athletic school so we are all determined in our sports and classroom. It is also nice because we can all relate to things as well. I love that the professors here really care about you not only as a student but also as a person. I love that there is always something to do on campus as well.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? One helpful tip I would give to incoming freshmen would be to get out of their comfort zone and make the best of their college years. You will find your lifelong friends and even the person you may marry in college but you have to open up to see that.
I would also say, know you will not be alone; it may be lonely the first couple of days but you will make friends and attend the events on campus to meet people.

What do you love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½? The thing I love most about ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½, not to be cliche, but it’s the environment. It’s a small campus, so everybody knows everybody, and that’s exactly what I love about it. Whether it be running into friends in HRC or cheering on our many sports teams, spending time with the people here is what I love the most.
What is one helpful tip you have for our incoming freshman? My one tip for incoming freshman is to get involved. Obviously, through orientation and launch, you will meet friends, and your roommates/teammates, but diversifying yourself is essential. Join a club, sit with a stranger in the cafe, go to the tailgates. Just get involved as much as you can, and it’ll make your first year on campus so much better!

LAUNCH
Limestone LAUNCH is a 4-day welcome week for all new students to attend. LAUNCH week immediate follows new student move in. During LAUNCH, students will be split into groups and attend a variety of short courses that will help them meet other new students, become more comfortable with the campus, Limestone culture, and student success. The week is filled with games, activities, ice breakers and all of the information a new student needs to feel welcomed and at home at ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½. LAUNCH is fully led by our upperclassmen LAUNCH Leaders.

FAQ’S ABOUT SUMMER ORIENTATION
What is summer orientation?
Orientation is a time for ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½â€™s incoming students to get acquainted with the culture of the campus, for Limestone to showcase academic and campus presentations and programs, and for incoming students to meet new friends.
Who should attend orientation? Do I have to attend if I’m a commuter?
All incoming students, both residential and commuter, should attend orientation.
When/How can I register for Summer Orientation?
As soon as you pay your enrollment deposit, you can register for summer orientation. Space is limited, so please register today! Dates and registration are available on this page as well as the link to register.
When and where do I report for my Orientation Session?
You will report to Fullerton Auditorium on your selected date. Check-in and registration will be from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Please view the schedule for more details.
Do I need to bring anything to orientation?
While you do not need to bring anything, you are encouraged to bring the following if you have not submitted them to the University: immunization records, official transcripts, and any documents needed for Financial Aid. Bring a photo ID.
Can I bring someone with me to Orientation?
Of Course! Please bring parents, guardians, or a family member with you! This a great time for everyone to ask questions and prepare for your big move to college! Lunch will be provided for each student and one guest. Any other guest will be able to purchase a lunch ticket at the door for $6.50 per person.
Is there an Orientation Program for parents and family members?
Yes! We will have various information sessions for everyone to attend to get all of your questions answered. Offices available include the Financial Aid Office, Business Office, and Student Life Offices. We encourage you to bring those who will be supporting you financially and emotionally during your college career.
Can I change my orientation session after I have registered?
You may change the session you previously registered for if there is availability in another session. Please contact Kelly Tillinghast at 864.488.4011 or ktillinghast@limestone.edu if there is an issue you with your registered date.
What if I need to leave early or miss part of the program?
Orientation is very important to help with the transition to college. Please make every effort to attend the entire day. If you have a conflict or questions about the sessions, please contact Kelly Tillinghast at 864.488.4011 or ktillinghast@limestone.edu.
When will I receive my Housing assignment?
Housing assignments will begin going out in late April/ early May. New assignments will go out every two weeks (as we receive more housing applications). If you have any questions regarding housing assignment, please contact the Office of Residence Life at 864.488.4590 or contact Jessica Goins at Jgoins@limestone.edu The housing staff will be available at Summer Orientation sessions to answer any questions you may have.
If I receive my housing assignment before my Summer Orientation date, can I view my residence hall room that day?
You may not be able to see your exact room; however, showrooms in each residence hall will be available during Summer Orientation. Contact the Office of Residence Life for specific questions or concerns.
Will there be overnight accommodations provided?
Since the Orientation sessions are a one-day event, overnight accommodations will not be provided. If you wish to stay overnight, you may locate reasonable lodging by .

When will I have an opportunity to meet with an academic advisor?
Students will be able to meet with Academic Advisors in August before classes begin. The registrar’s office will be available at Summer Orientation to answer questions regarding classes.
When is Orientation for International Students?
For students entering in the Fall Semesters, International Student Orientation will be held in August; more information will be available soon. International Students are not required to attend a summer orientation session in July.
What happens during International Student Orientation?
At ÓÅÃÛ´«Ã½, we are committed to positively influencing your transition to college and to living in the United States. If there’s a need for the required documentation, we will help in the process and introduce you to college policies, culture, opportunities to get involved on campus. What are the orientation leaders for?
Orientation leaders are an elite group of students who are trained to help incoming students and their families throughout the day – acquainting new students with campus resources, activities, building locations, and college life issues. Above all, orientation leaders are here to provide a positive and friendly present to incoming students and their families.
Will I need a parking pass during Orientation?
Parking lots will be available throughout campus and Campus Safety will not be issuing any tickets. To view parking locations on campus, please see our Campus Map for details.
