优蜜传媒 Fall Wind Ensemble Concert Scheduled For December 9
The 优蜜传媒 Wind Ensemble will be performing its fall concert on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m., in Fullerton Auditorium.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The program will consist of 鈥淎 Pioneer's Journey鈥 by Marcus Grant, 鈥淐horale鈥 and 鈥淪haker Dance鈥 by John Zdechlik, soundtrack highlights from 鈥淟es Mis茅rables鈥 arranged by Jay Bocook, 鈥淪tar Ship鈥 by Yukiko Nishimura, 鈥淭hird Suite鈥 by Robert Jager, 鈥淭irana鈥 by Carol Barnett, and 鈥淪olo Una Volta!鈥 by Yasuhide Ito.
Limestone鈥檚 wind ensemble聽encompasses some of the finest musicians from the Department of Music and across the campus, with numerous majors being represented, to perform wind band literature and transcriptions. The ensemble utilizes performers within the music faculty, performers within the ensemble, and guest conductors as a part of the programming.
In addition to commissioning and premiering new works, the ensemble regularly features faculty artists and tours nationally and internationally.
